  • hello there welcome to another fun and
  • exciting video so I'm here once again
  • with the wonderful amazing Astrid and I
  • had a request with somebody they wanted
  • me to do a video follow up on me
  • visiting Kranz Gardens gray so recently
  • I went to the Czech Republic Prague to
  • be exact and you know it was cool we
  • went actually for about a week and you
  • know we we saw the sights it was it was
  • amazing honestly it was it was
  • incredible we did a lot we we saw
  • different castles and was educational
  • so she's she's from that area so it was
  • really nice to have a know such a cute
  • to her guide you know to help me get
  • around that wouldn't be around otherwise
  • probably would be gotten mugged by some
  • gypsies or something it actually is a
  • problem supposedly in that area we did
  • have any issue with the gypsies but that
  • is an actual issue in there so friends
  • bargains grave is actually located in
  • opava which is kind of on the outskirts
  • I would say right I'm sorry they don't
  • sent me that I yeah so like the place
  • where the bottom graph is okay it's a
  • YouTube it's a public platform so we are
  • not calling it should hold they are
  • calling it um
  • residential area because if you feel the
  • butterflies were housed inside it's
  • located in residential area that means
  • it's some sort of like outskirts
  • shithole but um this one was really nice
  • one like I must admit where he is so
  • it's not entirely where Obama is it's
  • kind of like outskirt of Omaha City so
  • you can have to take train to open up
  • and then you're taking bus I think
  • actually
  • not farther I think if you are really
  • enthusiastic then you can kind of walk
  • from the Opera of our East you have to
  • get to up our East train station which
  • they have like a two train stations or
  • provide like the main town of about East
  • most of the trend seems to be going to
  • up our East
  • anyway of our East seems to be closer to
  • the historical historic center of the
  • city so me for practical reasons that
  • you just say how we got that like the
  • practical traveling reason troubling if
  • you are deciding to go to thrive you
  • most likely have to go to the Prague
  • train the main station we can take a bus
  • ride
  • and from there usually take train from
  • Prague to Ostrava which is another big
  • city and Ostrava you're taking locally
  • smaller tiny train to opera which is
  • quite close by and most of them they'll
  • be going to off about East and from
  • there we just took like local public
  • transportation bus will be possible to
  • walk I think walking from the station
  • would take like 40 minutes a thing but
  • we just took fast up I would say it was
  • very confusing actually taking the bus
  • because around the cemetery is basically
  • in the middle of like houses and
  • literally middle of fields so I've
  • noticed on the map there quite a few
  • different bump stops around and each of
  • them has like a bus going there like
  • once in three hours and then you have to
  • gather figure out which one is it closes
  • where the next bus is coming so that was
  • all of this confusing so I guess if you
  • can actually have like get like a taxi
  • from up a lot east station like a taxi
  • is going to be super cheap that the IRS
  • solid maybe recommend to do that if you
  • don't speak the language but yeah that
  • was basically I wanted to say how we got
  • back
  • it's good yeah sure yeah so to sum that
  • up you know if you were to go to the
  • Czech Republic to Prague you would then
  • take a
  • from Prague to Ostrava and then from
  • Ostrava you would take another short
  • train to Omaha and then in opava as she
  • was saying you could walk but it would
  • take probably 40 minutes so we took a
  • bus to the area near his gravesite so um
  • you know it was interesting because for
  • many reasons but it was interesting when
  • he got there because that was where that
  • was where you had your your famous
  • saying which was that all Baba's a
  • purely crystallized yeah I'm a rural
  • area there's a rule there okay all right
  • we're gonna be free to roll with it
  • it's uh you know the thing I noticed
  • about the Czech Republic in general it
  • was so interesting like we made the
  • video and please don't take it the wrong
  • way
  • I'm considering the whole Czech Republic
  • residential area so like it's looks like
  • because I'm from frog or anything like
  • that and I kinda like it like I like
  • rural residential is like I'm just I'm
  • just like criticals like and bitter in
  • general so I was like basically big
  • towns I'd like small-time I don't like
  • anybody so didn't take it personally
  • yeah she really doesn't
  • but yeah so so anyway we we ended up
  • there and the amazing thing was I mean
  • it was like a four-hour train ride just
  • to get from frog over to open her to
  • Ostrava
  • and what was it you're saying the three
  • O's in that area was Okla Ostrava oh you
  • know three three that free towns that
  • are close to each other which sounds
  • similar to Florida and Africa Simula but
  • I'm kind of similar size kind of
  • similarly close to each other - all
  • emotes we passed but one Ostrava and
  • opava
  • so free over top of cities you go by
  • train you can go that's the thing that
  • of abundance basically like the city
  • where the great is the greatest on the
  • outskirt aa which is already an outskirt
  • yeah
  • the thing is there never was actually
  • very good stomach connection as far as I
  • know from Prague to Obama that's the
  • city where the grape is so he always has
  • to go change usually off star but it's
  • like the bigger city that's close by so
  • if you're going from frog by train or
  • bus I think it might be sometimes buses
  • from frog I'm not entirely sure but I've
  • assumed out but again it's kind of a
  • journey you will see loads of landscape
  • on your journey they actually been quite
  • the hardcore so they should took it as a
  • one-day trip but definitely I would say
  • if you can't speak the language be
  • prepared for the fact that outside of
  • the Prague you will have a hard time to
  • actually find somebody who speaks
  • language and look for somebody who is
  • roughly up to thirty you you can for
  • younger people those there is a slight
  • chance it will speak the language so
  • look at fancy looking young people
  • somebody in a nice closing somebody who
  • got like phone stuff like somebody who
  • looked bit more upscale like a pop
  • apricot seed there was a good chance
  • that they will speak English older
  • generations in those parts of a town not
  • likely
  • no they must be Russian that's pretty
  • much it so in most cases no don't even
  • think like they will speak English in
  • shops they won't look for look for young
  • people on the streets we looked nice
  • closing he like cosmopolitan which won't
  • be many so that's basically with all
  • train station information they might
  • have very basic English vocabulary they
  • might much more likely going to be
  • speaking Russian or German but you can
  • you know might view it my wag at my work
  • so um
  • definitely make sure you have everything
  • prepared before you go to your PC as you
  • look your map neatly printout before you
  • go down even I got ones there and I
  • can't speak the language and I was like
  • yeah my god this area so I'm doing like
  • screaming at the people in the balconies
  • I hate is a very symmetry and they'd be
  • like oh this legislators fed it up like
  • wow that was actually I made like that
  • was that was one of the very cool things
  • actually about that area was when we got
  • there you were just like wow what a
  • rural place
  • you know I'm censoring myself here but
  • you know I'm terribly there back
  • but yeah but you know it was like we got
  • there and I we looked around and we were
  • like oh my god like this place looks
  • like residential and and then it's in
  • the middle of a field if you want to go
  • to Barton's great it's a small tiny
  • symmetry in the middle of fields so in
  • the middle of like literally like houses
  • with people of pretty houses you know
  • like gates and stuff like that it but I
  • saw was so surprising yeah it was like
  • the Iran is Ronis front the French
  • pardon sitting family like this Tulum
  • you in his family somehow of some of his
  • family Cal the lips closed fine as I was
  • reading because if the IRA where his
  • wife you had her like the farmland what
  • about so then what that's why they can
  • in fact I get some points ending his
  • grades there because that's by his wife
  • and then kind of together suppose that
  • the farmland site um they supposed to be
  • somewhere still around a family so
  • they're yeah it's in the middle of the
  • fields so I would say from oh haha
  • either if you don't have a check person
  • with you
  • they take taxi from our East by you
  • before I know so they might possible to
  • feel but it will be still cheap because
  • of how about everything there's cheap
  • to the city center and have some nice
  • food is good that five dollars that it
  • can get loads food not even like its
  • yeah though yeah that's true actually
  • yeah okay she's citing one example we
  • had well like you know the interesting
  • thing like just to kind of backtrack for
  • a second was you know it's called Prague
  • but it's actually known as praha like
  • somebody who is native to that area like
  • you know so you get really used to it
  • actually being praha like once you're
  • actually in Prague it's like it's it's
  • almost always associated as praha so
  • that was interesting was just like I
  • wasn't even calling it I would call it I
  • refer to it as Prague to people like who
  • are asking me about it online or
  • whatever but to me I got really
  • associated with it as prom and just in
  • general I felt like I was starting to
  • like pick up on all like the Czech
  • dialect and stuff like reading signs and
  • stuff that's like oh okay this is
  • starting to seep into my mind like as
  • far as what this might mean like I
  • usually have effective off practice with
  • us on a farrago there's just a small an
  • untranslatable fucking inside joke for
  • people and there's a lot of words in the
  • Czech dialect that don't make sense
  • really much in English like where we'll
  • be talking about stuff and she'll be
  • translating something to me and she like
  • there's not really any way to describe
  • this like in English like it's like
  • because there's so many different layers
  • in the Czech language so that was those
  • one thing that actually really impressed
  • me and the thing that was interesting
  • was we shot that video before we did the
  • trip the last video that we did on a
  • Czech perspective and now I have kind of
  • an American perspective on the Czech
  • Republic and yeah it's it's got its ups
  • and downs I'll say that for sure like
  • the ups being that things were Sochi
  • you could get like food for next to
  • nothing you could literally eat out
  • every day and save money basically like
  • I mean it was in the grand scheme of
  • things who actually weren't spending
  • that much and we had a really nice place
  • that we stayed at pretty posh I would
  • say definitely for their standards you
  • know it was like nobody else could
  • really afford not money yeah yeah it was
  • like it was like this pretty empty
  • actions like few bacon I almost like a
  • condo so French then you build condos
  • I'm already like my chicks speaking
  • people boarded like hardly afford like
  • in America like you could easily go and
  • like rent it out it was that that was
  • pretty cool to be able to do that but
  • yeah as far as actually getting there
  • just like you have to almost train for
  • it not not the word train like taking a
  • train but um you you like have to like
  • mentally prepare yourself to be able to
  • do that because like Astrid is so used
  • to traveling on the tubes in the subway
  • or whatever and taking trains and things
  • especially the Czech trains like we used
  • to joke about kicking the doors I don't
  • know it's I think you might have
  • actually did that on one yeah yeah yeah
  • another thought okay we could have could
  • have would have I guess take one of the
  • new parallel company is that I having
  • very fast in your trains but as I wanted
  • to really make it as a culture
  • experience which now don't always that
  • one yeah the old Czech squad listening
  • to us but they already know where I'm
  • aiming with this with a laughing at this
  • point already so I decided to take my
  • lovely American boyfriend and to
  • experience Czech railways um so yes
  • indeed we got the regular fast train
  • made of metal by the Russians at some
  • point in doing the Second World War and
  • even at that time that was the Mashable
  • speaking outdated
  • and then they just like put it on the
  • checked web lies possibly give it to a
  • free opaque even paid to them it was
  • cheaper to recycle it
  • Russians have a recycled a single thing
  • in the whole life um then basically yeah
  • we have those beautiful trains untouched
  • by any signs of water
  • modernizing or new technology for about
  • 40 years and I think Nephi was very
  • surprised by such a level of skansen on
  • the rails how basically it is that this
  • was and yeah like if you're Westerner
  • then you will have a problems with it if
  • you that kind of like oh I see that's
  • that that's nice like those funny big Oh
  • Symmetra is like oh my god you know
  • occasion like it feels like it's like
  • 90s time machine then he went into the
  • went into the old metal shake fast train
  • is like freaking second world war time
  • machine I think I'm psyche and like I
  • feeds and he was like sitting next to me
  • and looking around in it I think this
  • has bit laid over stretch a little bit
  • but do you think they have Wi-Fi here I
  • was like wow and then I point at the
  • smaller handle that's Mike's under the
  • window chicks nose now I'm talking about
  • and has like a two little signs one is a
  • thermo meter that's boob on a stem a
  • meter with the red and I was like that's
  • the air conditioning and he looks like
  • okay no Wi-Fi but that being said we
  • actually some of those trains didn't
  • have Wi-Fi on them we actually you know
  • it's funny because we took some really
  • rural trains yeah but but but at the
  • same time you know we also got we got
  • some like more modern ones yeah that
  • usually go back early yeah yeah that you
  • see money from like you the old man II
  • that are going to do owe money that are
  • going to take my voice are going
  • directly to the focus of the managers
  • and then the managers are sucking up
  • money from European Union for which they
  • actually have
  • actual project otherwise didn't get them
  • so they have to buy they're forced to
  • buy new trains instead of spinning the
  • money so that's how we thought solving
  • you face you
  • yeah and I mean the trains work you know
  • and to their credit to thank obviously
  • we could have that that new like there's
  • so what's named Leo Express that icon
  • you other companies are running other
  • check rails to you know that out of
  • writing them protection of their like a
  • full Wi-Fi and now wait fruitier and
  • they've got nice fans cheap nice food
  • you can get a sushi on the train and all
  • Wi-Fi but it's cheaper and it's nice up
  • by you know one day grandma
  • now but that does this companies are me
  • going maybe to Ostrava demo going all
  • the way talked about because that's just
  • such a rural area that it wouldn't be
  • it's not like a mainstream type of
  • travel not like and I mean there's a lot
  • of people who using the trains to I was
  • really surprised by that a lot of people
  • commuting by train but you know if
  • that's the thing that I've noticed just
  • in general being here in Europe and in
  • general is people just everybody rides
  • the tubes like everybody's on the subway
  • and it's so packed and I'm just like no
  • I'm not somebody who like you know lived
  • in like New York or you know I'm from LA
  • but by no means that I really grow up
  • there at all you know so you really see
  • how that's such a huge part of culture
  • and life and you know we're even making
  • fun of the little doodoo do you know
  • that plays every time the the tube stops
  • and practice yeah the prog tube in
  • different places we noticed that the the
  • ringtone is different and like we're
  • joking about how like you know the
  • European Union hates certain amounts of
  • money for like you know the better
  • ringtones and stuff like oh this only
  • goes doodoo it's like you didn't get
  • that European Union money
  • just do it
  • so it was a fun time you know it's good
  • times we you know we actually got to
  • open ba it wasn't pretty still pretty
  • early in the day you know we had time to
  • go around and look around the what was
  • there in the city you know it was it was
  • kind of surprising honestly you know
  • like we went to went down to a bar our
  • pub rather where it's likely it means
  • been there since when did the guy the
  • guy was even sure how long it had been
  • there um they had like the soccer the
  • soccer ball goals and in the men's
  • bathroom that was a trip I'd never seen
  • anything like that before I neither than
  • I'm Bob Elmo's like many male fufferman
  • they yeah they had um in the in the
  • bathroom in this pub at night and the
  • porta-potties they had all like in each
  • one of them they had a soccer goal with
  • a ball with a soccer ball little one
  • miniature and it had like a little like
  • fishing line or something like attached
  • to it
  • and you can put together the rest and
  • moved around so yeah I saw one comment
  • one of my friends wrote about that a
  • soccer players dream you know and the
  • only had like a liquid soap and paper
  • towels on the female to let's say we
  • didn't have anything in the inside the
  • toilet that looks normally dead um but
  • it was cool though like having like the
  • the Czech food was actually some of it
  • some of it was actually really good like
  • my body was like why do you hate me most
  • of the time but then like you know every
  • day I like wake up but like you know and
  • like are we gonna really do this again
  • um but you know there were times where
  • like you know you'd be like these they
  • have these really nice pies
  • uh yeah yeah like sweet pies yeah I was
  • actually hoping you know maybe he'd say
  • something about that she said bar didn't
  • actually mention that
  • in the in the check oh yeah okay so
  • beyond those spies you can't let it buy
  • them I haven't seen it that much outside
  • of Czech Republic Slovakia um so
  • basically in its fit like a tiny pizza
  • but it's sweet so it's a bit like a bit
  • like a spongy like though that's sweet
  • look like pizza one and usually the
  • inside is kind of divided two quarters
  • and most likely even have one quarter
  • made up like a couch cheese cream cheese
  • one would be made of the poppy seeds
  • like sweet obviously it's been a really
  • good one with me usually traditional
  • once one is made out of plums but plum
  • marmalades type of thing and usually one
  • out of strawberries but the strawberry
  • one it's not that popular usually it's
  • like you know like the white one
  • cottage cheese one poppy poppy seeds
  • poppy obviously it's of sweet filling
  • order or the fun ones for the size of a
  • traditional one so it would be some kind
  • and if you have any fancy IVIG flux pink
  • some roasted almonds and toggle that so
  • that's like I'm traditional
  • I'll check sweet dessert really
  • obviously like Martin must have eaten
  • those because it's like like I was like
  • traditional and specially when the part
  • of sub-county where he's from and he
  • says it's funny because okay chick
  • sayings are untranslatable to English
  • language but he was actually mentioning
  • one of those pies in his big because he
  • was mentioning saying that they are no
  • christ without work and obvious tables
  • for fine to those pies because that's
  • the pie that he either took a publican
  • that time he did we didn't really have
  • like a savory pies that that's not
  • something of a bit of flightcheck the
  • probably that much so that's basically
  • goes for free I've realized those quads
  • that's one of the very few things so
  • much for missing
  • so he's basically saying that uh you
  • know the the person who works diligently
  • gets the pie at the end of the day you
  • talking about that I always basically
  • saying that if you
  • working then you are not getting in yeah
  • it's even simpler than I say is there no
  • work no pie exactly that's basically I
  • don't know Fletcher bicycle he's saying
  • in this book like what kind of pie this
  • pie yeah this pot yeah I could don't
  • work you know getting even that back and
  • again his health and the food the
  • connection there which I had I mean
  • again when we made the the check
  • perspective video I had no idea like
  • what you were like it it's hard to come
  • at this from a person from a point of
  • view of being outside of the area and
  • then coming in and you really see like
  • wow this was no exaggeration like you
  • know it's like it really is that way
  • like this is like maybe being nice even
  • on him like some instances but like
  • they've told him Jake Hood is a
  • mayonnaise-based stuff like potato salad
  • where the hem and you put it on a roll
  • and you have it and then breakfast for
  • both old man I was looking for them
  • making fun of it before I went to do
  • everything he can to take a break I'm
  • not vegetarian
  • does not exist vegetable non-existence
  • at most only I'm totally like vegetable
  • dishes in Czech Republic are
  • non-existent like oh your salad or
  • you're on the diet I told him like if
  • you will have vegetable intake issues it
  • will be like one slice of a cucumber
  • that would be lying on top of something
  • fat and Friday
  • oh now you before you caught him jerking
  • the needle - look I did you know is it
  • your say I picked up on all the
  • difficult old it was like you know
  • having the most experience you know
  • being later the way that they poured was
  • very different you know like with the US
  • you know people please didn't like maybe
  • fancier you know type joints well take
  • the bottle they'll pour it and then
  • they'll kind of twist off at the end and
  • that was not the case here it was like
  • bottle click like up against the glass
  • and like and then you know the pro scene
  • personal day always say it's one of the
  • words that I learned when I was out
  • there which I actually not even sure
  • because I used it in so many different
  • ways
  • that's chicken language yeah like I'm
  • not even fully sure I just used it a lot
  • because it was kind of like it's like
  • kind of like you know go ahead like go
  • ahead and eat this or like you know you
  • give them money and say like it was kind
  • of like interchangeably used like thank
  • you and like here you go um you know if
  • it had so many layers to it which I
  • found really interesting but yeah that's
  • funny because protein can be also
  • pleased but also thank you that's
  • exactly it so I was kind of like
  • confused about it's like language is
  • very confusing for foreigners yeah
  • and the market too was very confusing we
  • were joking about that when we went to
  • the market in the station it was that
  • big market we went to and like you're
  • joking about how like everybody had
  • their baskets empty
  • oh yeah the night market and like you
  • before I'm joking when I told you check
  • supermarkets I felt like I need a book
  • food and he was like he's standing in
  • front of massive supermarket he was like
  • I don't know what to eat I really don't
  • know now that looks edible I'm like yeah
  • then you're like they're thinking
  • exactly the same that's thinking is that
  • the same thing in your basket it's like
  • everybody around like with empty baskets
  • looking lost look like what the hell I'm
  • supposed to eat from this like if it's
  • you it's super expensive or undateable
  • other than the whole to those those of
  • confused people that was that was crazy
  • like seeing had just in action it was
  • just like these people are literally
  • confused about what they're gonna eat
  • like they come here and they just didn't
  • seem like they were sure of what was
  • gonna happen coming in and coming out of
  • the market and that that was surprising
  • to me but yeah there were areas that
  • were a bit more rundown shall we say the
  • countryside
  • honestly seemed fairly wealthy a lot of
  • areas I was really long ago I was
  • relaxed even kind of so right yeah like
  • we looked out boy it is doing well
  • honestly wow like some of these houses
  • are actually painted you know as hike
  • but I think what a concept because like
  • that was the thing was
  • like that like it wasn't that the
  • buildings were constructed orally
  • necessarily I mean some like when we
  • were in Oklahoma
  • one of the buildings had actually just
  • totally caved in and it was like you
  • could literally drop your stuff in like
  • through a helicopter into the house if
  • you wanted to you could like airlift it
  • in because there was no roof and they
  • just kept it there like that they're
  • just like all right protein they're
  • saying you know and it's like yeah and
  • then like but like in the countryside
  • like I was like wow like they're
  • actually like you know putting in the
  • effort you made the joke about how they
  • only paint the sides of the house that
  • you see from the street you know let's
  • let's just edit all the sides of the old
  • neighbor can see so um you know it was
  • it was culturally a great experience to
  • have you know that's how we want to call
  • it um yeah it definitely was you know we
  • went to go to the city center in opava
  • and that was actually really nice but
  • you said vo obviously they're getting
  • that European Union money you know
  • tourists are coming there but I mean the
  • flats or apartments were pretty cheap
  • what you could get um a great place for
  • like what was it like 20 grand or
  • something and it's like equivalent to
  • like a million check ground or 2500k ran
  • 25 like a you're like what and Franck
  • I think it was when we were dope about
  • like you know come on you can look up
  • the rad nice place you will be you
  • should be could be able to get nice
  • one-bedroom flat for roughly that up to
  • $30,000 mmm
  • there you go my name on kimchi sauce
  • that's about to be like quite fancy
  • admitted to visitor flat into the center
  • and then you can just like go out and
  • eat like every five dollars yeah you can
  • yeah you can
  • just go out eat like everyday you're
  • practically saving money if you have a
  • means to make American money or American
  • currency or if you can make euro or
  • pounds you know you're ultimately saving
  • money by living there but as you also
  • mentioned you know not knowing the Czech
  • language and going there you're never
  • gonna learn it it's one of those things
  • like you're just you're not gonna learn
  • it without having lived there pretty
  • much because it's just so complex so
  • demanding you know there's just so many
  • different layers and aspects to it that
  • you have to learn that it's just like
  • you've joked about that you know it's
  • like it's kind of funny you know overall
  • like I could never learn it like I would
  • I would like never know how to actually
  • speak fully fluently if Austin doesn't
  • come described know like that's that
  • every single like this intent poorness
  • can't understand every single trick
  • pursue those tell you the same exact
  • same budget learn check from Spencer the
  • foreigner I would not stand a chance
  • um so that's why it's good to have a
  • translator if you go into the Czech
  • Republic um you're not gonna get jumped
  • as easily
  • hopefully unless they turn on you which
  • could be possible I guess oh look at the
  • a fuckin restaurant state if you like
  • you pick some life's like the nice twist
  • around they do have like English menus
  • and stuff my dad used to like German or
  • English tutors so that was so funny to
  • remember that and they gave me the
  • English menu they gave me that the giant
  • light like the the like readers edition
  • leg wasn't sighs yeah English menu it
  • was like here's ear then you notice like
  • this one page yeah they would like a
  • chicken fry cake for the afternoon
  • wasn't for Billy I was like and then
  • when I did the food was Stanley never so
  • I'm such a very good nice pop restaurant
  • it was it was at default
  • food food I had you're you're trying to
  • not make was it they call it
  • proper restaurant mistake perfect check
  • puts them on this they can so you were
  • definitely successful in that pursuit
  • because all the food that I ate there
  • was great it was just that I was
  • literally pushing the limits of what my
  • body could handle every time that I
  • would eat it yeah playing small on the
  • mall sauce yeah everything had a sauce
  • everything is dumplings we eat with that
  • was pretty much it no veggies I was it
  • was actually when we went out to that
  • bone Palace lately and I'm sorry and I
  • was like wow real veggies like on my
  • plate like it was like a tomato and my
  • one commit one quart of tomato add one
  • slice he comes up
  • yeah yeah exactly and I was like whoa I
  • gotta eat this like my body is like help
  • you know sex and then kofola
  • the check the Czech style cola that they
  • have there I was always like kofola
  • because that was another word I picked
  • up because it's just everywhere we went
  • to the zoo yeah the other two was he
  • picked up a book is he's gonna eat
  • well it's cuz you helped me out with the
  • peach alert what that man but um that's
  • a big staple so another state yeah and
  • then like yeah and partially partially
  • the reason I learned that word actually
  • funnily enough was um we came off the
  • train we were like changing trains we
  • were in transit and there was this giant
  • poster this is poster this guy he must
  • have been in the chocolate Amelia Czech
  • government and he had antennas that
  • somebody had written like you know like
  • alien like antennas or something and
  • then they drew a diamond with a dash
  • going down it on its forehead the paper
  • and pencil I can like because
  • non-english speakers can't understand
  • this like this is a very specific chick
  • symbol that everybody knows in Czech
  • Republic but for some reason for the
  • fast borders of ticket public yeah so it
  • was like what is this strange symbol
  • with the diamond
  • - going through it on his forehead and
  • and I and did it have those - no it
  • doesn't have to but it usually does
  • series where that so this is this is
  • what this is the symbol I think all the
  • tech people are watching on that
  • laughing under the table so for this you
  • don't know what it is right
  • you have no freaking clue what I'm not
  • showing you you really don't know do you
  • well this is vagina also known as
  • feature I'm really hoping the YouTube
  • that's a big news for the folder the
  • first page of it yeah that'd be nice we
  • make making a thumbnail for this video
  • and then we went to the restaurant when
  • we went to franz ferdinand's castle and
  • the restaurant there first of all was a
  • disaster but admits your food that they
  • actually gave you what you called
  • apology pancakes yeah which was just I
  • was just dying laughing when you said
  • that word because they did they your
  • your mashed potatoes were cold that was
  • that was that was a close to Booker
  • Czech restaurant mistake that was yeah
  • any was that it was that Franz
  • Ferdinand's Castle like just that it was
  • like the tavern like you know and
  • they're going to go over there there was
  • that - mr. rounds and the funnel fish
  • jet castle right underneath there once
  • is called old missile not one this new
  • miss another bullshit don't go that you
  • just brought up eat your roll and potato
  • salad robot terrible okay and so while
  • we were at the restaurant though I saw
  • this little flyer on the table or
  • something and I'm like I saw it again I
  • saw the symbol again but notice I added
  • three in here now I'm like why is there
  • three and takes laughing again yeah and
  • the name it was it was for a ban the
  • name of the band was the three sisters
  • um so I guess apparently they're
  • actually really popular in the Czech
  • Republic so it's kind of this running
  • joke this symbol that they use and that
  • they put all over and the other
  • interesting thing about the Czech
  • Republic like you mentioned that there's
  • things there that have been there since
  • like you were before you were born like
  • literally like yeah this bench so we're
  • sitting on waiting for this to has been
  • here like I remember this one on these
  • three or this escalator like yeah you
  • see all those numbers on it like that
  • was from like the Russians you know like
  • turning the war or something like it's
  • like left over like no like yeah like
  • check Cuba's update them they don't
  • maintain stop they just do the money of
  • course you do it's like going down here
  • so much fuck it is sort of repairing
  • stuff actually and interestingly enough
  • you mentioned it it's not that they
  • don't have the money they're about to
  • not be in deficit at all right you said
  • that they actually yeah seems like a
  • check check know like money-wise some
  • down and like the government depth was
  • they're going right there are going job
  • doing good they just like you know
  • suspect this particular that you don't
  • waste things and where to buy new stuff
  • you can prepare to old stuff so you're
  • referring to all stuff like forty years
  • and look shit so just put paint on if
  • you really really have to look any way
  • around it they usually don't they
  • usually don't let's not buy new things
  • we can somehow put it all together from
  • all the shit defense some well this
  • trade so with that being said um yeah I
  • was I was gonna bring up something
  • totally different
  • regarding that you know it things so
  • many of the things that are being
  • similar and saying but just in general
  • it was like it was kind of roughly
  • culture shock to me it was kind of like
  • a culture shock being there because I
  • was expecting it jokingly
  • but I wasn't expecting it literally to
  • happen
  • actually to be like that so it was kind
  • of like oh wow I'm in this and the
  • people at the border control were
  • totally cool but just didn't care at all
  • like they were just like wow you're
  • actually like you said you're like oh
  • what would you be doing here like why
  • are you even coming here like please
  • like come right through like spend your
  • currency um you know like they pointed
  • out that that seemed to be kind of the
  • general mindset coming in was it was
  • very alien to me from what I'm used to
  • you know if coming through into the UK
  • very different but um you know but that
  • was what it was so cool was it was very
  • relaxed it had a very relaxed mindset
  • about it like you come in and the people
  • know that you know the crown and things
  • like that like you said like they just
  • don't care like it's just they did so it
  • was this really kind of relaxed vibe of
  • coming here and the people are just kind
  • of like cool with it they know that
  • things are the way they are and you know
  • we went to the hospital at one point
  • like just for to get like some pain
  • medication or something like for
  • something um we just kind of like
  • chilled there for a minute and saw the
  • sights within the within the Czech
  • Hospital and I can really say what that
  • was
  • hey come on that's great no it's still
  • free it still feel free it's still free
  • healthcare it's the best feel free
  • healthcare it's just actually most cases
  • there's no dead vet definitely better
  • than British NHS some of them like right
  • fall yeah yeah we all right compared to
  • that I tried both and shake Health
  • Care's way better than British NHS yeah
  • I mean we also we took a trip for I know
  • you call a little medical holiday dental
  • oh yeah
  • dental trip and the dentists there were
  • like
  • top-notch like I would go back to them
  • like they were way ahead in my opinion
  • they were way ahead of us dentists by
  • far like the u.s. dentist that they like
  • take multiple x-rays put it on screen so
  • you can see it um it was they were
  • thorough probably more thorough than any
  • dentist um that I had been to I was very
  • impressed I went there just to get
  • cleaning but it's like why not you know
  • it's cheaper still cheaper than you know
  • America um an American health care and
  • stuff sucks so I just was like why not
  • ah
  • might as well capitalize on this but
  • just the the sights and everything
  • Prague was very beautiful
  • I found Prague was very beautiful just
  • in general it was kind of it was kind of
  • a bummer because they were working on
  • the balcony bar hmm and the stuff that
  • you know we that we were going to come
  • to but you know then we eventually ended
  • up meeting up with your friend and that
  • was cool we saw a really cool cafe there
  • and a breatharian cafe which was just
  • hysterical like it was like you know
  • just taken bit in boom in throw
  • mentalistic I was surprised that they
  • had room for that there you know to be
  • honest like you know we were talking
  • about the food and stuff and it's like
  • in the middle of urine culture it's just
  • a way how to tell other people I'm so
  • much better than you are
  • let me just make a fab based on that
  • idea um it was very like I had like this
  • yeah it's very intellectualism type
  • thing going on there but yeah I was I
  • was really surprised you know what the
  • way that they did things you know and
  • the services and all that stuff it was
  • very cool you know just in general um
  • you know so the trip itself was a lot of
  • fun you know and I know I would started
  • talking about Franz Barton's grave and
  • that experience but I figured you know
  • why not kind of talk a little bit about
  • the overall experience
  • it's going to the Czech Republic feel in
  • case somebody we want to go there um you
  • know it's it's really cool honestly like
  • I got a lot from it and it was I would
  • go back there you know I mean it's it's
  • definitely an awesome place there's
  • definitely no contesting that um and
  • your money goes a long way so it was
  • cool you can just go to cafes and just
  • chill out like you know two dollars
  • we've got like a latte and like all this
  • awesome stuff and it's just like how is
  • this happening right now like it's just
  • doesn't make any sense to me um you know
  • and like so you know yeah it does seem
  • like it's kind of like it does have some
  • 90s undertones um with of course like
  • you know early to late communist ones
  • but um I'd say overall you know they are
  • they are kind of this sort of modern /
  • developing type country in a way but
  • because they're not in debt they're just
  • gonna continue what you were saying
  • they're really going I'm just like yeah
  • it's a I think it definitely could go
  • faster like it's 30 years after
  • Kennedy's that we could have would have
  • moved watefall stuff it's way too slow I
  • need to be speed it up a bit that it's
  • been moving very slowly but it's moving
  • it's moving and the people there you
  • know they actually care like you said
  • like the people there they really do
  • care they want things to be good you
  • know there they are discouraged you know
  • things aren't good so they truly do care
  • about things there and you know it was a
  • nice thing to see you know it is kind of
  • at the end of the day it is proud of it
  • upbeat positive you know - you know the
  • occasional drunks in the subway or
  • whatever um you know people can drink
  • openly in a lot of Europe probably all
  • of Europe imagine um the native so
  • America can't do that in Europe you can
  • have
  • gun like that it's just not happening
  • you do not get if you can be gun or the
  • public you end up in the prison
  • immediate thing that's for nice even if
  • you have a long sense you're gonna give
  • a long-term study on yours you can take
  • it for public that's what accessible by
  • any means in UK you can't even have a
  • knife but you can in some places drink
  • opening yeah yeah and I was seeing a lot
  • of people drink openly and you know just
  • in general I think a like people all
  • over the place or drinking by the water
  • like way on the open resource of the
  • comps hanging around the under the
  • bridge you know where a lot of
  • shenanigans go on but you know in
  • general I think that it's very forward
  • moving and I really liked you know what
  • was going on there it just seemed like
  • unfortunately they were kind of stuck
  • and they were and they're trying to pull
  • themselves out of it and so you said the
  • techno the the tech scene there's really
  • good antics on their stuff smile yeah so
  • diana is just good to slugs needs to get
  • pasta that's all there was to it but
  • yeah I'm getting that
  • yeah well said so you know so so just a
  • little a little brief you know going
  • into this whole Barton's grave thing
  • since that's what this was originally
  • about you know we finally got into you
  • know from Oscar got to opal da and then
  • promote Baba took the bus to the area
  • where his grave was um you know as I
  • said earlier we actually had time to
  • kind of explore around and we even saw
  • his house where he was a naturopath
  • practicing um you know also just like
  • working with people in general you know
  • alchemy you know prescribing different
  • remedies and things like that just in
  • general you know he's uh he was doing
  • this thing and it was also interesting
  • because the mall that they had there you
  • know we're every joking about how to
  • take much so
  • your your Czech soda no check soda is
  • the type of it's a it's a comedy that is
  • well why you said actually the guy that
  • did check soda um built a bridge right
  • yeah yeah wonderful so they got it's not
  • yeah you showed me the bridge while we
  • were traveling on a train
  • yeah check so does it's on YouTube I
  • don't know if you need to type it in
  • check but it's it's interesting it's
  • your family guy's style humor is usually
  • yeah so yeah that was kind of neat but
  • we were joking like how where is
  • everybody
  • yeah we went to the mall and saigo this
  • is where everybody is and then you're
  • joking about how people couldn't afford
  • things at the mall um yeah so it's like
  • they're just kind of all window shopping
  • and hanging out there you know and you
  • know joking about how it's kind of like
  • North Korea and how they kind of just
  • like put food on display you know but I
  • yeah
  • but they had some events there that were
  • really cool and it was like it looked
  • like they were doing they were making
  • more of an attempt to entertain the
  • youth and the children than American
  • moths that I've seen in recent history
  • that's a good now actually from a
  • remember loads of the molten Czech
  • Republic use that all sorts of stuff
  • okay it's like every season they will be
  • like stuff for kids going on and
  • something walls and stuff like that
  • that's quite common mm-hmm yeah so I
  • mean you know it was cause like they had
  • some kind of effort they trying to get
  • the feminine to try to spend at least
  • some money they want about chewing gum
  • at least the chewing gum come on
  • you just done all this program for you a
  • big fucking finger why do you have to
  • buy all your beer online now since bingo
  • the internet there's no reason to leave
  • their houses so just like for cheap
  • things on the internet that will go
  • there
  • or plastic bowl 2 liters very little
  • shake yeah they had some kind of like
  • Bratz dolls
  • type event thing going on for like
  • there's actually really funny because it
  • was like you could either be a princess
  • or a model if you're Americans top
  • feminists don't go to Czech Republic
  • you're not going to like it you see it's
  • not going to like it it will be like 500
  • 5 seconds figures like you're going to
  • like it if you have American
  • chauvinistic fake you're going to love
  • chicken ha ha
  • they're totally was like that like I
  • look like the the van there was at this
  • construction ban like every time we'd
  • see this van on our way back to our
  • place that we were staying and it was
  • like this this picture of like this
  • woman with like a construction tool like
  • some kind of like like a you know and
  • she was like holding it very
  • suggestively
  • now her job my bro yeah
  • get the job done like something like
  • crazy like that we're just like as like
  • that is what felt like it was in the 90s
  • like that type of humor like where it
  • was like political correctness was it
  • was setting in but people like still
  • learnt like I'm offended about like
  • everything it's just checks like you
  • said don't care like the idea of them
  • being offended is like they would mock
  • people who would be offended like they
  • would make fun of people who would be
  • offended like it's so blatantly open in
  • their culture like you know the symbol
  • that we showed like it's so such an
  • ingrained part and like political humor
  • and just all of that that it's like it
  • kind of makes a lot of the other people
  • out there kind of look like a joke
  • because they're so open and honest and
  • in a sense transparent about the way
  • that they see the world it's very that's
  • one of the other things I really liked
  • about it was it they kind of just accept
  • things on the terms that they are
  • they're not covering anything up I
  • didn't give
  • like when we went to and what was that
  • place we went to relate where we had to
  • go through security and then the talk to
  • the guard and he mentions M on what was
  • it you said what was it you said today
  • yeah was was a security when we went to
  • check to prague castle and i guess that
  • this whole event will be completely
  • foreign to somebody
  • there's no from czech republic also may
  • have don't save us from west encounter
  • at UK oh yes well especially us that i
  • was talking to our gardens i called
  • council police and he was doing security
  • checks and he got the regular check
  • place and resting check face and he got
  • a resting check face and he was checking
  • my stuff and I was like M so every baby
  • has to do this I'm very happy about yeah
  • well so yeah I'm glad you're guarding
  • our presidents them and anyone resting
  • Czech face up like you know to protect
  • him so nobody's going to steal him away
  • from us and he was looking at me it was
  • like if they would steal salmon it just
  • and it's just like yeah and just like
  • kept his check resting chick fight
  • meaning like they they don't like the
  • president most of most of them come to
  • bear doesn't like like basically you
  • said you translated that he basically
  • said if Zaman
  • yeah but sure than will use that you
  • know is a cake language is always like
  • many different layers and like unsaid
  • things that I like in it that have like
  • so many alternate meanings and and can
  • go in so many different directions
  • yeah so I mean that was that was a trip
  • to see like these people who are
  • blatantly you know
  • hired you know hired hired you know I'm
  • trying to think of the the right word
  • officials
  • yeah we'll go with that you know in
  • these rural areas in rural officials
  • uh-huh you know to carry out this duty
  • and it's like the guy that's on top
  • they're just like it's like Bush it's
  • like George Bush like when he was in
  • office it's like everybody couldn't
  • stand him somehow somehow he won but
  • people were just like yeah he used to go
  • just get rid of him like it brings down
  • the IQ like everything so that was
  • definitely something that was
  • interesting and it was just this this
  • open transparency about you know how it
  • was so clear and evident you know about
  • the the people that were you know in
  • politics and at the top the subway
  • station you know John the symbols on the
  • guy the president you know everybody
  • makes fun of him his YouTube videos of
  • him drunk you know and important wasn't
  • fun he had absolute that's right I was
  • Reyes analyst which is pretty normal for
  • him to have yeah he got blue very open
  • at the moment that it completely fucked
  • up his livers from old Louise I think
  • hey you can't even walk how much of the
  • flu he has is to lean up against things
  • leaving it falls among the most people
  • actually even the Prime Minister I
  • believe was prime minister who said like
  • I can smell the food from here like ten
  • feet away
  • welcome to the Czech Republic
  • yeah so that was kind of the experience
  • I had yeah you'll notice that it's
  • different from the last video I made
  • about where I was just getting her
  • perspective on the Czech Republic now
  • now yeah now I've never witnessed it and
  • you know the area this was one thing
  • that I mentioned about Barton's grave in
  • the area that it was in done Astrid
  • already kind of mentioned it earlier but
  • I was really impressed with that
  • neighborhood that was nice even
  • for American standards that neighborhood
  • it was like I was like wow all these
  • houses are gated they'll have a dog a
  • lot of them a pool a nice backyard like
  • by American standards like these people
  • are living pretty well they've got cars
  • like these people are living like
  • lavishly you know is beautiful
  • neighborhood and it was like pretty much
  • like the only you know neighborhood that
  • seemed kind of untouched um in that area
  • which I found interesting
  • we actually got we did we got lost we
  • ended up in a field randomly at the edge
  • of a field and we're gonna like cut
  • through and I'm like you can't cut
  • through people's houses like they don't
  • care here so I don't that it's not like
  • you took what we did can't kill you
  • because you're trespassing
  • he kinda shaped in your trespass a vacay
  • just like hey that's basically oh they
  • can do so yeah I mean the actual
  • experience
  • thank you very countess somebody's field
  • um what well you know it depends I mean
  • you're not supposed to and people carry
  • guns America so you know except me and
  • my mother we stole so much cold from
  • cornfields mostly the attitude the
  • general attitude is get off my property
  • in America it's like I generally you
  • know where like they call the cops or
  • whatever maybe if they really want to
  • push it but you know the the general
  • experience that I had just going there
  • just being there and the cemetery where
  • his grave was it was kind of a surprise
  • because it was like we walked we're
  • looking for his day and it's just like
  • there it is you know and it's like it's
  • very like it's for who he was and the
  • work that he did you know like I'm it
  • evokes you know images of like a sphinx
  • you know or something or like a giant
  • Egyptian you know monolithic type
  • obelisk
  • you know these structures issues to
  • grave there with the next to his wife
  • and they are as one person Khan
  • all my pictures from that trip you know
  • it is well kept the the whole gravesite
  • grapes himself are in great condition
  • his wife actually passed away later than
  • he did in close in 98 you know and we
  • actually did see the symbol in flowers
  • in his grave and you were that was
  • before I knew what that symbol men now I
  • believe in dug kids to posters just like
  • time it was just an isolation yeah it
  • wasn't it wasn't meant to be taken
  • offensively like you know back then or
  • whenever that was planted or whoever
  • planted obviously it was meant as a term
  • of endearment and respect great respect
  • to the man and then was like I bet the
  • diamond shape yes read that entry was
  • there the end yeah the red diamond
  • shaped flower arrangement
  • and and you know you you kind of weren't
  • saying anything you know and then I
  • found out what the you know peach' and
  • all that that we were talking about but
  • completely unrelated surprisingly you
  • know and yeah his his grades well-kept
  • it was it was honestly it was a very
  • beautiful experience I wanted to have
  • that experience three years to just um
  • you know visit his grave and I finally
  • got to do it and I was just like in
  • heaven it was just like I was so there's
  • what's whole like just being there um
  • you know I asked him yeah you know he
  • even gave me some time to kind of sit
  • there and um you know kind of have a
  • moment there like a minute while she was
  • like burning Sun know everything else
  • that I was some sitting outside of the
  • cemetery smoking a cigarette in the
  • shadow of a bin of the end of a bin so
  • she was seen on sheep I was it was like
  • my shadow I was like there was a message
  • basalis I was like sitting under the bed

Description

Someone asked me to make a video about my recent trip out to Prague along with visiting the grave of none other than Franz Bardon himself and his wife!

I saw so many awesome things while I was out in the Czech Republic! Beautiful castles, cathedrals, and city centers.

Hope you enjoy some of the insights from going there.
